Question:
P and Q are the mid points of two chords AB and AC respectively of a circle with center O . OP and OL are produced to the point R and S, respectively such that they meet the circle. T is a point between R and S in the major arc. If BAC = 32º Find RTS =? 
Options:
A) 32º
B) 74°
C) 106°
D) 64°
Solution:

Ans: (b)


Given ∠BAC = 30°

∠OPA = ∠OQA = 90°

(Line from centre of circle to the mid ponit of the chord will be prependicular to the chord)

form APOQ

∠POQ = 180° - 32°

= 148°

and ∠ RTS = \(\cfrac{1}{2}\times 148^o=74^o\)
