Cant get??? (Question: 197069.0 )

I'm not getting how you are solving the problem, can you please explain it clearly?

Question:

When 18200 is divided by 19, then the remainder will be –

Options:
A) 0
B) 19
C) 1
D) 17
Solution:
Ans: (c) We know that (xn – an) is divisible by (x +a), when n is even–

\(\therefore\) (18200 – 1200) is divided by(18 + 1)

So, when 18200 is divided by 19, the remainder is 1.

Dear Student,

Just formula has been applied the given solution.

See other method because you didn't get that:

(18*18*18*......*18) /19.

19-18 = 1.

(-1*-1*-1*.....*-1) /19.

Power is even so, 1/19.

Answer is 1 (numerator).
