sir i dont know how the sides of the circle came as 18
how is the area of a triangle 34 a square

Question:
There is a regular hexagon of side 12 cm. It’s side’s midpoints are joined together to form a triangle. Find area of that triangle (in cm2).
Options:
A) \(8\sqrt[]{3}\)
B) \(50\sqrt[]{3}\)
C) \(81\sqrt[]{3}\)
D) \(85\sqrt[]{3}\)
Solution:

Length of diagonal = 2×12=24cm

Side of hexagon=12cm

∴ Side of triangle = \(\cfrac{12+24}{2}\) = 18cm

∴ Area of triangle = \(\cfrac{\sqrt[]{3}}{4}\) a2

\(\cfrac{\sqrt[]{3}}{4}\times18\times18=81\sqrt[]{3}cm^2\)
