Can't be the answer. (Question:581786.0)

Distance is asked after man has walked 13m to the south. This should also be added to that.

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Study the given information and answer the following question.


Apple Tree is 20 m away from Carrot Field in east direction. Banana tree is in south of Apple Tree and is facing south direction and distance between Apple Tree and Banana Tree is 30 m. Now to the right of Banana tree, walking 40 m towards west, a man is standing. Man is eating ice-cream standing on its position and facing north. After eating ice cream man starts walking 13 m towards south direction and reaches to the position of his friend.

What is the approximate distance between man and Carrot field?

In  ∆   DCF, 

(CD)2 = (CF)2  + (DF)2 

(CD)2 = (30)2  + (20)2 

(CD)2 = 900  + 400

CD = 1300   

CD= Approx 36m
