galat salat question 60 ko 6 likhto ho kya hain tumhari tech team barbad company

Question:

There were two candidates in an election, 10% of the voters did not vote. 60 votes were declared invalid. The elected candidate got 308 votes more than his opponent. If the elected candidate got 47% of the total votes, how many votes did each candidate get?

Options:
A)

2914, 2606

B)

2660, 2941

C)

2914, 2660

D)

2941, 2606

Solution:

Ans: (a)

Let total number of votes = 100x

10% voter did not vote.

Remaining vote = 90x

Invalid votes = 60

Valid vote = (90x – 60)

Let elected candidates secured y votes.

Looser candidates secured = [(90x – 6) – y]

And y = 47x

Than, Looser candidate = (90x – 60 – 47x) = (43x – 60)

Then, 47x – (43x – 60) = 308  x = 62

Votes secured by elected candidates = 47 × 6200 = 2914

Votes secured by looser candidates = 43x – 60 = 2606
