Question:
16 women take 12 days to complete a work which can be completed by 12 men in 8 days, 16 men started working and after 3 days 10 men left and 4 women joined them. How many days will it take them to complete the remaining work?
Options:
A) 4
B) 6
C) 8
D) 10
Solution:

\(\therefore\) Total work = 16 × 1 × 12        (from I)

                    = 192 units

Now, work done by 16 men in 3 days

= 16 × 2 × 3

= 96 units

Now, 10 mens left and 4 women join

and remaining work = 192 – 96 = 96 unit

\(\therefore\) Time to complete the remaining work

12m=8
96m=1. Eq1
16w=12
192w=1. Eq1
That's why
1man = 2woman
Total work 12×8=96
So
16×3=48
16-10=6
6+2=8(because 1man=2woman)
So
96-48=48
48÷8=6day answer

Dear Student,

Given solution applied by short trick.

Detailed explanation.

16 women work in one day= 1/12
one women work in one day= 1/12*16

12 men work in one day =1/8
one men work in one day= 1/12*8 comparing One women and men = 2women = 1men

16 men work for 3 days= (1/108)* 3*16= 1/2 part of work

remaining part of work = 1/2

10 men left, thus 4=6men and 4 women= 8 men because 4 women =2men

one men work in one day= 1/12*8
thus
8 men work in one day = 1/12 part
one part done by 8 men in one day= 1/(1/12)= 12 days
thus
1/2 part done by 8 men = 12*(1/2)= 6 days .

I hope u got it.
