Dear Student,

In LHS there are 38 terms.

cot 45 = cot(41+4)
1 = ( cot 41 cot4 - 1) / (cot 41 + cot 4)
cot 41 + cot 4 = cot41 cot4 - 1
cot41 cot4 - cot41-cot4= 1
Add 1 both sides form equation you will get

(1-cot4) (1-cot41) = 2

similarly there are 19 pairs .

Therefore p = 19

Thanks and Regards
