solution?

Question:
In a group of students, 65% can speak Hindi and 35% can speak German. If 18% of the students can speak none of the two languages, then what percent of the group can speak both the languages?
Options:
A) 17
B) 18
C) 19
D) 20
Solution:
Ans: (b) Let the total number of students = 100

\(\therefore\) 18 students speak none of the two languages.

\(\therefore\) 82 students speak either Hindi or German.

Let x students speak both languages.

82 = 65 – x  + x  +  35 – x

x = 100  – 82

x = 18
