If the ratio of sines of angles of a triangle is 1 : 1 :  2   , then the ratio of squares of the greatest side to sum of the squares of other two sides is–

 3 : 4

 2 : 1

 1 : 1

Solution:

  

Let ABC is a  ∆    and a, b & c are the lengths of BC, CA & AB respectively.

∴    sin A : sin B : sin C = 1 : 1 :  2   

By sine formula :

asin⁡A=bsin⁡B=Csin⁡C   

→    a : b = sin A : sin B & b : c = sin B : sin C

→    a : b : c = 1 : 1 :  2   

Let a = x, b = x & c =  2    x

ATQ, c2 : (a2 + b2) = ( 2   x)2 : (x2+ x2)

= 2x2 : 2x2

= 1 : 1
