why you are considering Medians as sides?

If the length of three medians of a triangle are 9 cm, 12 cm and 15 cm, then what will be the area of the triangle?

Area of triangle = \(\cfrac{4}{3}\) × Area of triangle formed by assuming medians as side

There is a relation between area of a triangle and area of the triangle made by the medians of that traingle...
3(area of triangle)=4(area of triangle made by the medians of the triangle)
