there are a thousand of garment stores ...can also be error.Am i right?

There are a thousand garment stores but people keep back coming here because they recognize us.
Options:
A) here because they recognize us
B) but people keep back coming 
C) No error
D) There are a thousand garment stores
Solution:
Ans: (b) Replace ‘back coming’ with ‘coming back’. The order of adjectives is important while forming sentences.

in case "of" such nouns follow plural form
Dozens of women, hundreds of people, millions of dollars,etc
correct eg:
there are thousands of garment stores......
there is a thousand garment stores......
there are two/three thousand garment stores.........

i think not 100% sure

with a few words that denotes the "number of countable nouns such as HUNDRED, THOUSAND, MILLION, DOZEN, COUPLE,. "a" is used
eg
a dozens pens
i have a hundred rupees
