CP of XYZ = 1,00,000 rs
When selling to Y , he added 20% i.e. 1,00,000+ 20% of 1,00,000
1,00,000+20,000= 1,20,000
Therefore SP of X= CP of Y= 1,20,000 RS
Y sold by marking up 15% on invoice price(1,20,000)
MP of Y= 1,20,000+ 15% of 1,20,000= 1,38,000 RS
Therefore total mark up % over cost price = { 1,38,000-1,00,000/1,00,000 }*100 %
= 38000*100/1,00,000 %
= 38 %
Thanks and Regards
