Answer seems to be different (Question: 187725.0 )

Except telephone, all other devices are used only for conversion of sound waves to electrical waves or vice versa. But, on the otherhand telephone is used for transmission of information. So, Telephone is a better choice to remove from the list.

Ans: (a) Except option (A) all others are related to sound.


Dictaphone is a machine for recording and playing back dictated letters.

Gramophone is a sound recording and playing back round machine.

microphone is an instrument for converting sound waves in to electrical variations that can be reconverted in to sound after transmission by wire or radio or after recording. 

Telephone is an apparatus for transmitting sound.
