Answer is right but explanation is wrong...Area of trapezium=half x sum of parellel sides x height == 1/2 x 6+ (6+2y) x h
And ATQ, area of ABEF= half the area of ABCD, i.e.,
6 x h = 1/2 x 1/2 ( 12+2y) x h
Now solve the equation you'll get the answer

Question:
ABCD is a trapezium in which AB is parallel to DC, AD = BC, AB = 6 cm, AB = EF and DF = EC. If two lines AF and BE are drawn in such a way that area of ABEF is half of ABCD. Find CE/CD.
Options:
A) \(\cfrac{1}{2}\)
B) \(\cfrac{1}{3}\)
C) \(\cfrac{1}{4}\)
D) \(\cfrac{1}{6}\)
Solution:
