If you take speed 3&4 then distance = 4km

If you take speed 6&8 then distance = 8km

so, using ratio of speeds, distance can't be determined.

Question:

By walking at  34    of his speed, a man reaches his office 20 minutes later than usual time. Find the distance from his home to office?
