A vessel contain 20 litres of acid. 4 litres of acid is taken out of the vessel and replaced by the same quantity of water. Again 4 litres of the mixture is withdrawn, and again the vessel is filled with the same quantity of water. The ratio of the quantity of acid left in the vessel with the quantity of acid initially in the vessel is:

A) 1 : 5
B) 4 : 5
C) 4 : 25
D) 16 : 25

Required ratio = \(\cfrac{20\left (1- \cfrac {4}{20} \right )^2}{20}=\cfrac{16}{25}\)
