It is not mentioned that 20% amount given to donation is from overall 30% of the remaining amount or after deduction of the bonus amount.

Question:

A man gains Rs. 60,000 in a business. He invests 40% of profit again, 30% of remaining amount, he distributes to employee as bonus and 20% amount to donation and remaining amount invested in advertisement. If he invests Rs. 10,000 minimum on advertisement then find investment on advertisement.

Options:
A)

Rs. 18000

B)

Rs. 12000

C)

Rs.16000

D)

Rs. 20000

Solution:

Ans:(a) 40% of 60,000 = Rs. 24,000

Remaining = Rs. 36,000

30% of Rs. 36,000 = Rs. 10,800

20% of Rs. 36,000 = Rs. 7,200

Total = Rs. (24,000 + 10,800 + 7,200) = Rs. 42,000

Investment on advertisement = Rs. 18,000
