given A income :B income = 4x : 3x
A expend : B expend =12y :7y
the given savings each = 3200 = (4x-12y) = (3x - 7y) ---> eq1
we get 5y = x---> eq2
from eq1and eq2 (4(5y) - 12y ) = 8y = 3200 ==>y =400
and x = 5(400) =2000
B income is = 3(2000) = 6000
60 %0f B income is =0.6 X 6000 = 3600/-

Question:

Incomes of X and Y are in the ratio 4 : 3. Their expenditures are in the ratio of 12 : 7. Both save Rs.3200 at the end of the month. Then the 60% of the income of Y is -
