Solution:
Ans: (b) 4 sin2\(\theta\) + 9 cos2\(\theta\)

= 4 sin2\(\theta\) + 9 (1– sin2\(\theta\))

= 4 sin2\(\theta\) + 9 – 9 sin2\(\theta\)

= 9 – 5sin2\(\theta\)

for maximum value of function 

5 sin2\(\theta\) = 0  {\(\theta\) = 0 }

\(\therefore\) Maximum value = 9 – 0 = 9
