Question:

A skilled, a half skilled and an unskilled labourer work for 7, 8 and 10 days

respectively and they together get Rs. 369 for their work. If the ratio of their each day's work is \(\cfrac{1}{3} : \cfrac{1}{4} : \cfrac{1}{6} \), then how much does the trained labourer get (in Rs.)?

Options:
A) 164
B) 102.50
C) 201.50
D) 143.50
Solution:
Ans: (d) Ratio of their 1 day's work = \(\cfrac{1}{3} : \cfrac{1}{4} : \cfrac{1}{6} \)

Ratio of their 1 day's efficiency =4 : 3 : 2

Ratio of their total efficiency

= 4 × 7 : 3 × 8 : 2 × 10

= 28 : 24 : 20

Share of skilled labourer = \(\cfrac{28}{72}\) × 369

= Rs. 143.50
