Question:
The diameter of a circle is equal to the perimeter of a square whose area is 3136 sq. cms. What is the circumference of the circle?
Options:
A) 352 cm.
B) 704 cm.
C) 394.24 cm.
D) Cannot be determined.
Solution:

Area of the square = 3136 cm2

\(\therefore\) Side of the square = \(\sqrt{3136}\)

\(\therefore\) perimeter of square= 4 × 56 = 224 cm=Diameter of circle

\(\therefore \)Circumference of circle

= \(\pi\) × diameter

=  \(\cfrac{22}{7}\times 224\) = 704 cm
