That becomes, (x2-5x+1)/x = 3
Take x common from the numerator and solve....you will get x+ 1/x = 8
Now, apply the formula of (a+b)3 and put the values in the expression asked..i.e. x3 + 1/x3 / (x + 1/x)
x3 + 1/x3 = (x + 1/x)3 - 3(x)(1/x) (x+ 1/x)
x3 + 1/x3 = (8)3 - 3(8)
= 512 - 24
= 488
therefore, x3 + 1/x3/ (x + 1/x) = 488/8
= 61 answer
I tried to explain every detail, let me know if it helped.......
