Question:

There are two types of mixture of milk and water. In the first mixture, out of 12 ltr, 5 ltr is milk only and in the second mixture, 6 ltr is milk and 12 ltr is water. Which one mixture is better is terms of milk’s strength?

Options:
A) First
B) Second
C) Same in Both
D) Data insufficient
Solution:
Ans: (a) In the first mixture, part of milk = \(\cfrac{5}{12}\)

In the second mixture, part of milk = \(\cfrac{6}{18}\)

Also,\(\cfrac{5}{12}>\cfrac{6}{18}\)

So, in the first mixture, the strength of milk is better.
