hypotenuse=10
similarly 8^2+10^2=hypotenuse^2
hypotenuse =(164)^(1/2)
so sum is 10+(164)^(1/2)

P and Q start from their office and walk in opposite directions. P travelled 10 metres, then turned right and travelled 8 metres. Q travelled 6 metres, then turned right and travelled 8 metres. How far are they now from each other ? 
Options:
A) 20 metres
B) 16 \(\sqrt{2}\) metres
C) 16 \(\sqrt{4}\) metres
