The answer should be 2 states only

average production during 1992-1993)= 47/5 = 9.4 lakh ton
Below average production is shown in 4 states ; A,C,D,E.

Now average production in 1993-1994 is = 64/5 = 12.8 Lakh ton

Out of state A,C,D,E only for two state ( A and D) the average production has increased

Question:

How many states showing below average production in 1992-93 but also showing above average production in 1993-94 ?

Ans: (b) Average production in 1992–93


Clearly states A,C and E show below average production in 1992 – 93 and states A,B and E above average production in 1993 – 94.

Comman state is A and E. so, answer is 2

How answer is 3 ? Answer should be option B, because Below average production is shown by A,C,D,E and out of A,C,D,E.. only A and E have shown above average production in 1993-1994.
