1625-412 why? (Question: 152026.0 )

Please explain why 412 is subtracted from 1625 and where it calculated?

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Study the following table carefully and answer the questions given below.





What is the respective ratio of the number of adult females to the total number of female children staying in all the societies together?
Options:
A) 243 : 82
B) 112 : 71
C) 82 : 243
D) 71 : 112
Solution:

Ans-(a): Number of children in society A 

= 25% of (250 + 350)

= 25% of 600

= 150

Number of female children 

= 60% of 150

= 90

Number of male children 

= 40% of 150 = 60

Similarly calculate for all the societies together 

Total number of adult female 

= (350 + 150 + 275 + 300 + 250 + 300)

Number of female children = 1625 – 412 = 1215

Requited ratio = 1215 : 410 = 243 : 82
