if all odd position students will change there positions then number 13th will become number 15th but how can a person be in 15th position if there are only thirteen members

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully and answer the given question.

Thirteen students are standing in horizontal row from left to right. If all the odd numbered students in the row are shifted to successive odd numbers positions, what will be the position of Sanket who was seventh in the row initially?

Options:
A) 7th from left
B) 5th from left
C) 5th from right
D) 8th from left
Solution:

Ans (c) \(\therefore\) All the odd numbered students are shifted to next odd numbered position.

Now, \(\therefore \) Position of Sanket from left = 7

\(\therefore\) After new arrangement position of sanket from left = 9

\(\therefore\) His position from right = 13 - 9 + 1

= 5
