Consider the following statements

I.A solution with pH value 8 has more hydronium ions than a solution with pH value 12.

II.Our stomach produces hydrochloric acid.

Which of the above statements is/are correct?

A) I
B) II
C) I and II
D) none
Solution:
A solution with pH value 8 is more acidic than a solution with pH value 12. Therefore the first solution has more concentration of hydronium ions than the second solution. Our stomach produces hydrochloric acid which helps in digestion.
