you can calculate for Q it is not 20% (Question: 112431.1 )

The following pie charts give the details of the number of different models of motorcycles sold in two consecutive years.



Total = 7 lakh


Total = 8.4 lakh

Models:

P - Maestro

Q – CT 100

R - Pulsar

S – CB Hornet

T - Shine

U - Jupiter

V – Wego

For how many models did the number of motorcycles sold increase by more than 20% from 2013 to 2014?
Options:
A) 5
B) 2
C) 4
D)
3
E) None of these
Solution:
As the total number of motorcycles sold increased by 20%,if the percentage points in the pie charts from 2013-2014 of any model increased, then the number of motorcycles of that model sold has increased by more than 20%.Clearly, sales of models P. Q, R and U has increased by more than 20%. Choice (C)
