DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions.


Eight persons – P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W – are sitting around a circular table facing the centre but not necessarily in the same order. Each one of them is selected for a different bank among Andhra Bank, SBI, Indian Bank, IOB, Vijaya Bank, APGVB, Canara Bank and OBC.


The person selected for IOB sits three places away from P. R sits opposite the person, who is to the immediate neighbour of P, but is not selected for IOB. S is selected for Andhra Bank, but is neither the neighbour of R nor of P. T is selected for Canara Bank and sits opposite U, who sits to the immediate right of the person selected for Andhra Bank. The person selected for OBC is the neighbour of both W and Q. Q is selected for SBI and sits third to the right of the person selected for APGVB. The person selected for Indian Bank sits second to the right of the person selected for SBI.

Solution:
Ans: (c) It is given that, the person selected for IOB sits three places away from, P. R sits opposite the person. who is the immediate neighbour of P. but is not selected for IOB. Hence, P sits either third to the left or third to the right of the person selected for IOB. R sits either second to the right or second to the left of the person selected for IOB. It is given that. S is selected for Andhra Bank. but is neither the neighbour of R nor the neighbour of P. Hence, S sits either to the immediate left of the person selected for IOB or to the immediate right of the person selected for IOB. It is given that, T is selected for Canara Bank and sits opposite U, who sits to the immediate right of the person selected for Andhra Bank. Hence. T sits opposite U, who is selected for IOB. S sits to the immediate left of U, R sits second to the right of U and P sits to the immediate right of T.


It is given that, the person selected for OBC is the neighbour of both W and Q. Q is selected for SBI and sits third to the right of the person selected for APGVB. Hence, R is selected for OBC, V is from APGVB and Sits to the immediate right of S. Q Sits to the immediate right of U and W sits to the immediate right of R.


It is given that, the person selected for Indian Bank sits second to the right of the person selected for SBI. Hence, W is selected for Indian Bank and P is selected for Vijaya Bank.


The final arrangement is as shown below.


U, the person selected for IOB, sits second to the right of V.
