Production is in Thousands('000). But, solution has been given in '0000 units. Answer comes as 21760 Units.

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Study the following line graphs which show the productions ( in, 000 units) and percentage exported of scooters, motorbikes and cars respectively over the years.




Find the total number of automobiles exported in the year 1999
Options:
A) 22,760
B) 20,760
C) 21,760
D) 22,000
E) None of these
Solution:

Total number of automobiles exported in 1999

= 48,000 × \(\cfrac{12}{100}\) + 60,000 × \(\cfrac{20}{100}\) + 40,000 × \(\cfrac{10}{100}\)

= 5,760 + 12,000 + 4,000 = 21,760
