After two years when Suresh invested in business. Thereafter Ramesh didn't invest any additional money. How can you show investment of additional money for four years

Question:
Mr. Ramesh opened a workshop investing Rs.40,000. He invested additional amount of Rs.10,000 every year. After two years his brother Suresh joined him with an amount of Rs.85,000. Thereafter Suresh did not invest any additional amount. On completion of four years from the opening of workshop they earned an amount of Rs.1,95,000. What will be Ramesh’s share in the earning?
Options:
A) Rs.85,000
B) Rs.1,10,000
C) Rs.1,35,000
D) Rs.95,000
E) None of these
Solution:

Investments of Ramesh,

= Rs.40,000 + Rs.50,000 + Rs.60,000 + Rs.70, 000 as Rs.10, 000 is added every year)

= Rs.2,20,000/-

Investment of Suresh

= 85000 × 2 = Rs.1,70,000

Ratio of investments

Rs.2, 20, 000 : Rs.1,70,000

22 : 17

Ramesh’s Share =  \(\frac{22}{39}\) × 1,95,000

= Rs.1,10,000/-
