Panctuation error

Question:
Four years ago, Ravi’s age was half of his father’s age. Three years hence, age of father of Ravi will be \(\cfrac{9}{5}\) times of Ravi’s age. Find the present age of Ravi.
Options:
A) 28 years
B) 30 years
C) 32 years
D) 36 years
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (c) Let the present age of Ravi = x years

4 years ago, Ravi’s = (x – 4) years

4 years age, father’s age = 2(x - 4) years

Present age of father = 2x – 8 + 4 = (2x – 4) years

3 years hence, Ravi’s age = (x + 3) years

3 years hence, father’s age = (2x - 1) years

Therefore,   2x – 1 = \(\cfrac{9}{5}\)(x + 3)

10x – 5 = 9x + 27

X = 32 years
