Join PB  and PC

∠PAB = ∠PCB = 40°

are the angle of same sector

angle on Circumference formed by the diameter of circle/∠ACB = 90° 

then, ∠PCA + ∠PCB = ∠ACB

∴ ∠PCA= 90° - 40° = 50°
