As mentioned in question, B is not an immediate neighbor of A or D. But in your arrangement solution they are sitting beside. So how can be that ?

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions.

Eight friends – A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H— are sitting around  a square table in such a way that four of them sit at four corners of the table while the other four sit in the middle of the four sides. Those who sit in the middle of the four sides face the centre while those who sit at the four corners face outside.

A sits third to the left of C, who does not sit at any of the corners. E sits third to the left of F, who is not an immediate neighbor of C. B and H are not immediate neighbors of each other. D does not sit in the middle of any sides and at least two person should sit between A and D. E and G sit opposite to each other but do not face each other. B cannot sit opposite C, who is the immediate neighbor of E.
If they all are rearranged clockwise in alphabetical order starting from A, which of the following(excluding A) would retain his original position?
Options:
A) H
B) G
C) D
D) E
E) None of these
Solution:

Ans (b) No one

From the statement -A sits third to the left of C, who does not sit at any of the corners, we infer that C must be sitting in the middle of any side.

From the statement-D does not sit in the middle of any sides and at least two person should sit between A and D.

Which means D must be sitting at the corner of the side and possibly three persons sit between D & A.

E and G sit opposite to each other but do not face each other.

We infer that E and G sit at the corner and facing opposite direction.

B cannot sit opposite C, who is the immediate neighbor of E.

From this statement it is confirm that B will not sit between A & G and C is immediate neighbor of E.

E sits third to the left of F which means F must be sitting between G & D.

B and H are not immediate neighbors of each other.

So B must be sitting opposite to F and H will sit opposite to C.

So the final arrangement will be-

No, the information is correct. Notice the word 'respectively'. It means B is not an immediate neighbour of A and H is not the immediate neighbour of D. It doesn't mean B is not an immediate neighbour of both A and D.
