wrong answer

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the following questions, the symbols @, ©, $, % and * are used with the following meaning as illustrated below:

‘P © Q’ means ‘P is not smaller than Q’.
‘P * Q’ means ‘P is not greater than Q’.
‘P @ Q’ means ‘P is neither greater than nor equal to Q’.
‘P $ Q’ means ‘P is neither smaller than nor equal to Q’.
‘P % Q’ means ‘P is neither greater than nor smaller than Q’.
Statements :
K*D,  D$N,  N%M,  M©W

Conclusions :
I.M @ K        II.N @ K
III.M @ D     IV.W * N
Options:
A) Only I and II are true.
B) Only I, II and III are true.
C) Only III and IV are true.
D) All I, II, III and IV are true.
E) None of these.
Solution:

Statements :
K<D,  D>N,  N=M,  M>W

Conclusions :
I.M < K        II.N < K
III.M < D     IV.W < N

For conclusion I, K<D,  D>N and N=M, from these three we get K>M. So, conclusion I is wrong.

For conclusion II, K<D and D>N, from these two we get K>N. So, conclusion II is wrong.

For conclusion III, D>N and N=M, from these two we get D>M or M<D. So, the conclusion III is true.

For conclusion IV, N=M and M>W, from these two we get N>W or W<N. So, conclusion IV is also true.

Hence, Only III and IV are true.
