DIRECTIONS: Two pie charts are given. First pie chart shows the percentage wise distribution of sale of LG and Samsung brand washing machines by seven stores in the year 2016. The second pie chart shows the degree wise distribution of sale of LG brand washing machines by seven stores in the year 2016.

Total number of washing machines sold = 24000


Total number of LG brand washing machines sold = 10800


What is the difference between the total number of Samsung brand washing machines sold by stores A, C, E and F together and that of LG brand washing machines sold by the same stores?

Number of Samsung brand washing machines sold by store A = 630

Number of Samsung brand washing machines sold by store C

=  8100× 24000 –60360×10800   

=(19200 – 1800 ) = 17400

Number of Samsung brand washing machines sold by store E

=  20100× 24000 –45360×10800   

=(4800 – 1350) = 3450

Number of Samsung brand washing machines sold by store F

=  10100× 24000 –65360×10800   

= (2400 – 1950) =450

Total number of Samsung brand washing machines sold by stores A, C, E and F together

= 630 + 17400 + 3450 + 450 = 21930

Total number of LG brand washing machines sold by stores A, C, E and F

together =  245360×10800 = 7350   

∴ Required difference 

= 21930 – 7350 = 14580
