x=6,3 and y= 6,5 ans will be y is greater than or equal to x.

Question:

DIRECTION : In the given question two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and Give answer if 

(I)  x2 – 9x + 18 = 0

(II)  y2 – 11x + 30 = 0 

Options:
A)

x > y 

B)

x ≥ y

C)

x < y 

D)

x ≤ y 

E)

x = 0 or the relationship cannot be established 

Solution:

(I)  x2  – 9x + 18 = 0

x (x - 6) –3 (x - 6) = 0

(x – 6)(x – 3) = 0

x = 6,3  

(II)  y2  – 11x + 30 = 0 

(y – 6) -5(y – 6) = 0

y = 6, 5


hence, No relationship can be established.
