Total number of girls in Institute A and C

= 35000 \(\left ( \cfrac {18}{100}\times\cfrac{30}{100}+\cfrac{31}{100}\times\cfrac{60}{100} \right )\)

= \(\cfrac{35000}{10000}\)\(\times\)(540 + 1860)

= 3.5 × 2400

= 8400
