qn no 71 ans is both 1 and 2 follows here explanation
R=T;
M=B
>=
T
>
R;

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In these questions, symbols $,*,%,δ and @ are used with different meaning as follows:

‘P*Q’means ‘P is neither greater than nor equal to Q’.

‘P@Q’means ‘P is neither smaller than nor equal to Q.’

‘Pδ Q’ means ‘P is not greater than Q’.

‘P%Q’means ‘P is not smaller than Q.’

‘P $ Q’means ‘P is neither greater than nor smaller than Q.’

In each of the following questions assuming the given statements to be true, find out which of the two conclusions I and II given below them is/are definitely true. Give answer.

Statement:

R * M, M $ B, B % T

Conclusion:

I.  R * T

II. T δ M

Options:
A) If only conclusion I is true
B) If only conclusion II is true
C) If either conclusion I or II is true
D) If neither conclusion I nor II is true
E) If both conclusions I and II are true
Solution:
Ans (b)

* ⇒ <

@ ⇒ >

δ ⇒ ≤

% ⇒ ≥

$ ⇒ =

Statement:

R < M, M = B, B ≥ T

R < M = B

T ≤ B = M

Conclusion:

I. R * T ⟹ R < T           (False)

II. T δ M ⟹T ≤ M          (True)

Only conclusion II is true.

From where you get R=T which is not given in the questions???

Conclusion I : R<T can not be true at all because we have R<B>=T.
