DIRECTIONS: Study the following graph carefully and answer the follow.




What is the respective ratio of number of employees in Administrative department to the number of males in the same department?
Options:
A) 9:4 
B) 8:3 
C) 7:2 
D) 8:5

Solution:

Ans: (a)   

Number of employees in administrative department

= 8% of 4500

= 360

Number of males in administrative department

= number of employees - number of female

= 360 - 10% of 2000

= 360 – 200 = 160

∴  Required ratio = 360:160 = 9:4

please read question again. It asked to find the ratio between number male of employees and total employees

No...............9:4 is correct...Because we need to find respective ratio of number of employees in Administrative department to the number of males in the same department...


Sol:

Ans: (a)
Number of employees in administrative department
= 8% of 4500
= 360
Number of males in administrative department
= number of employees - number of female
= 360 - 10% of 2000
= 360 – 200 = 160
∴ Required ratio = 360:160 = 9:4
