the correct answer is A. causz if T=B>=M then T>M is true

Question:

DIRECTIONS: In the following questions the symbols +, -, ×, ÷, and = are used with the following meaning as illustrated below:

‘U + Q’ means ‘P is neither greater than nor equal to Q’.

‘U - Q’ means ‘P is not smaller than Q’.

‘U× Q’ means ‘P is not greater than Q’.

‘U ÷ Q’ means ‘P is neither smaller than nor greater than Q’.

‘U= Q’ means ‘P is neither smaller than nor equal to Q’.

Now in each of the following questions assuming the given statements to be true, find which of the two conclusions I and II given below them is/are definitely true.

Statements:

T÷ B, M × B, J - B

Conclusions:

I. T = M

II. T = J

Options:
A) Only Conclusion I is true
B) Either Conclusion I or II is true
C) Neither Conclusion I nor II is true
D) Both Conclusions I and II are true
E) None of these
Solution:

Ans: (c)

Given,

+ → U < Q

- → U ≥ Q

× → U ≤ Q

÷ → U = Q

= → U > Q

T = B, M ≤ B, J ≥ B

∴ J ≥ T = B

  M < B = T

I. T = M  (T>M)              (False)

II. T = J  (T>J)                (False)
