please explain puzzle type question in solution

Question:

DIRECTIONS:  Study the following information to answer the given questions.


Five cities all got more rain than usual this year. The five cities are: Bangalore, Pune, Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur. The cities are located in five different areas of the country: the mountains, the forest, the coast, the desert, and in a valley.


The rainfall amounts were: 18 inches, 48 inches, 58 inches, 80 inches and 100 inches.


• The city in the desert got the least rain while  the city in the forest got the most rain.

• Bhopal is in the mountains.

• Bangalore got more rain than Indore.

• Pune got more rain than Jabalpur, but less rain than Bhopal.

• Indore got 80 inches of rain.

• The city in the mountains got 58 inches of rain and the city on the coast got 48 inches of rain.
