worng answer (Question: 108405.0 )

X= +- 27 and y =9 compare +27>9 x>y
and -27 < 9 X

Question:
DIRECTIONS: In the given question two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer.


I. x2 – 365 = 364

II. y - \(\sqrt[]{324}\) =\(\sqrt[]{81}\)

Options:
A)

 x > y

B) x ≥ y
C) x < y
D) x ≤ y
E) x = y  or the relationship cannot be established
Solution:

Ans: (d)

I. x2 = 365 + 364 = 729

∴ x = \(\sqrt[]{729}\)  = ±27

II. y – \(\sqrt[]{324}\)  = \(\sqrt[]{81}\)

⇒ y – 18 = 9

⇒ y = 27

∴ x ≤ y
