he said he is cheating customer by giving 950 gms instead of 1000.then cost should be 1000

Question:
A shopkeeper cheats his wholesaler and customer both. He purchases 10% more from the wholesaler and sells 5% less while selling to its customer. What is the profit percentage by selling the goods at cost price?
Options:
A) 15.7%
B) 15%
C) 14.5%
D) 20%
E) None of these
Solution:
Ans: (a) He purchases 1100 gram instead of 1000 gram and sells 950 gram instead of 1 kg.
∴ In whole transaction he saved 100 + 50 = 150 gram.
∴ Profit percentage = \(\cfrac{150}{950}\) × 10% = 15.7%
