Patience suits better than self-control

Question:
Directions : Each questions below has two blanks indicating that something has been omitted. Choose the set of words for each blank that best fits the meaning of sentence.
It is not.......to come across a man who can take ups and downs without losing......
Options:
A) feasible, equipoise
B)  usual, patience
C) common, equilibrium
D) possible, instability
E) easy, equanimity
Solution:
Ans: (b)  usual, patience

Lose patience (with someone or something) means to stop being patient with someone or something; to become impatient with someone or something.

Eg:  Please try to be more cooperative. I'm losing patience with you.

Equipoise means equality in distribution, as of weight, relationship, or emotional forces or equilibrium.

1.  when participating in any dangerous sport, one should maintain an  between fearless boldness and common sense caution.

2.  Her frugality is a much-needed  to her husband's spendthrift ways.

Feasible (adjective) means possible and practical to do easily or conveniently

With the extra resources, the project now seems feasible.(option (a) can be eliminated as it makes no sense that...It is not practical to come across...)Equilibrium means a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced, so, ...without losing equilibrium is also incorrect. Similarly, without losing instability is also illogical.

Equanimity (noun) means a calm mental state, especially after a shock or disappointment or in a difficult situation.

Eg: He received the news of his mother's death with remarkable equanimity.

Three years after the tragedy she has only just begun to regain her equanimity.

Hence, option (b)
