Dear student
Its just a calculation;
Let the Male population be x ; and female be (35000 - x)
Increase in No. of males= 6% or 6x/100
Increase in No. of female=4% or (35000 - x)4/100
Inc.in population= 36760 - 35000 =1760
Now solve the following expression and get your answer.
6x/100 +((35000 - x)4/100)= 1760x=18000
I Hope your doubt is clear now.
