the incradible (Question:164559.0)

it is clearly mention in the question that the increadible movie was screened in fourth day but in the solution it is in the friday please tell me i am not getting it

DIRECTIONS: Study the following information to answer the given questions.


Seven animated movies — Up, Finding Nemo, Ice Age, Aladdin, Shark Tale, Beauty and the Beast, The Incredibles, were screened during a children’s workshop not necessarily in the same order. The workshop started on Monday and ended on Sunday. Only one movie was screened on each day. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was screened on Wednesday. ‘The Incredibles’ was screened on the fourth day after ‘Up’ was screened. ‘Ice Age’ was screened before Thursday but not on Monday. ‘Shark Tale’ and ‘Aladdin’ were not screened on Saturday but ‘Shark Tale’ was screened before Saturday.

Four of the following five are similar on the basis of their position in the above arrangement and hence from a group. Which of the following does not belong to the group?
Options:
A) Up-Beauty and the Beast
B) The Incredibles - Aladdin
C) Shark Tale - Finding Nemo
D) Beauty and the Beast - The Incredibles 
E) Finding Nemo – Aladdin
Solution:

Ans: (e) We have to organise a children workshop.

We have, total seven movies to display and we can display only one movie each day.

The given information is as follows.

Beauty and the Beast was screened on Wednesday. Ice Age was screened before Thursday but not on Monday. 

Shark Tale was screened before Saturday. The ‘Incredibles’ was screened on fourth day after ‘UP’ was screened. It means there is a gap of three places between both the movies.

Shark Tale and Aladdin were not screened on Saturday. 

Now, according to the given information, we organise the movies in the following manner.

Ice Age was screened before Thursday but not on Monday, so it will screened definitely on Tuesday.


Their is a gap of three places between Up and Incredible, so it will definitely be on Monday and Friday.


Shark Tale was Screened before Saturday, so if will definitely be screened on Thursday.


Aladdin was not screened on Saturday. So, it will definitely be screened on Sunday.


Now, we have left with only one movie that is Finding Nemo and only one day that is Saturday therefore the sequence becomes.


In Finding Nemo - Aladdin pair their is no gap so they does not belong to the group.

Dear student
Please read the statement carefully .It is given in the question that-
‘The Incredible’ was screened on the fourth day after ‘Up’ was screened.
And 'The Up' was screened on Monday and fourth day after Monday is Friday, So 'The incredible' will be screened on Friday.
