There is also a Red Box that has been made which is totally forbidden but there are no subsidies in it as of yet.
And one more thing all of these fall in the WTO's Agreement on Agriculture

See, the World Trade Organisation has come up with 3 different types of subsidies -
1. Amber Box - All domestic support to agriculture that distorts the international competition fall into this one. It distorts the balance of trade. They will include heavy subsidies on fertilizers, seeds, irrigation etc. This needs to be reduced.

2. Blue Box - These are subsidies that have no relation to the volume of production. It covers payments directly linked to acreage or animal numbers, but under schemes which also limit production by imposing production quotas or requiring farmers to set aside part of their land. Very few countries use this subsidy. WTO doesn't currently place any limit on this

3. Green Box - Subsidies that don't cause much damage to trade balance or maybe minimal damage. This can be agricultural-research development funds, relief for farmers during droughts etc. There are no limits to this
