unable to see the statement

Question:

DIRECTIONS: Some of the following sentences are grammatically incorrect and some are correct. Find out which part of a sentence has an error and mark that part. If there is no error, mark that part as your answer.

Mark the incorrect option.
Options:
A) Young girls
B) hesitate to talk
C) to strangers
D) at night.
E) No error.
Solution:

Ans: (b)

Replace β€˜to talk’ by β€˜talking’.

When there is a sense of dislike hesitation, risk etc. in a sentence we should use a 'gerund' instead of 'verb'.

It would be ' young girls hesitate talking to strangers at night.'
